Tax consultancy is a specialised service providing advice on tax and accounting issues. You may need tax advice when you are looking to optimise your taxes, comply with tax obligations or need financial guidance.
A tax consultant will assist you in identifying available tax deductions and exemptions to legally and effectively reduce your tax burden. This can involve tax planning strategies and advice on how to structure your finances.
Our tax advisory services for individuals in Barcelona include the preparation and filing of income tax returns, personal tax planning, and investment advice.
The deadline for filing the annual income tax return in Barcelona is typically in the middle of the year, usually on the 30th of June. However, dates can vary, so it's important to stay informed about the current deadlines.
Not paying your taxes on time can result in financial penalties, late payment interest, and legal issues. A tax consultant can help you avoid these consequences by ensuring that you meet your tax obligations on time.

The Beckham Law is a special tax regime. It allows you to continue paying taxes as a non-resident even once you obtain tax residency in Spain.
The legislation of each country includes specific rules to determine when a person is considered a tax resident in the country. In Spain the general rule is defined in article 9 of the IRPF law, essentially that of residing in Spain for more than 183 days.
When a person, based on the local regulations of each country, can be considered tax resident in more than one state, the tax residence is determined following tie-break rules found in the treaties and signed by the countries concerned to avoid double taxation.
The personal and family situation of each individual case has to be analysed but, in general terms, it is advantageous to apply joint taxation when one of the two people does not receive any income (i.e. is financially dependent on the other).
The SII stands for Suministro Inmediato de Información (Immediate Information Supply), which essentially involves the immediate electronic submission of billing records that are part of the VAT (Value Added Tax) Register.
