Ana Risueño, a social security graduate specialist in Social Security, and Josep Conesa, employment lawyer, delivered lectures this October at the Barcelona Official College of Social Security Graduates as part of the EU Social Law course organised by Egara Formació.
Ana Risueño explained how Social Security systems are coordinated within the European Union, and the forms of cooperation between member states that ensure citizens do not lose any of their rights or benefits, even when these originate from more than one country.
Josep Conesa spoke on EU employment contracts and the rules governing the determination of jurisdiction and applicable law in employment contracts involving cross-border or foreign elements.
