Automated Social Security Enrolment & Deregistration Decisions: What Employers Need to Know

COMPANIES ARE NOW RECEIVING AUTOMATED DECISIONS ON EMPLOYEE REGISTRATIONS AND DEREGISTRATIONS FROM Social Security

Over the past few weeks, a growing number of companies have been receiving automated decisions — such as the one shown below — in which the General Treasury of Social Security formally confirms the recognition of registrations and deregistrations processed through the RED system.

This new electronically generated notification format includes all the key procedural details (company name, Social Security account code (CCC), scheme, registration and deregistration dates, applicable legislation, etc.) and is the result of the automated processing framework established by the Resolution of 9 April 2025, which governs this type of communication without requiring a signature.

What does this mean for businesses?

  • Greater oversight by the General Social Security Treasury (TGSS) over personnel movements.

  • Formal recognition of employee registrations and deregistrations as administrative acts.

  • The possibility of administrative review through a hierarchical appeal.

  • The need to maintain accurate and timely management of communications through the RED system (Spain's Social Security online filing platform).

At Conesa, we are already managing these communications on behalf of our clients and advising on their correct interpretation. Have you received a similar decision? Do you have questions about its scope or how to respond? Get in touch with our specialist team in  Social Security, and we will help you review your company's situation.
