From today, 30.11.2020, until 07.12.2020, self-employed workers may register in the Registry of Self-Employed Workers Affected by COVID-19.
What is the purpose of this registry?
It is designed to streamline access and simplify the application process for future extraordinary grant schemes available to self-employed workers who form part of a micro-enterprise.
Is registration mandatory?
Yes, registration is a mandatory step in order to be eligible for the upcoming grants.
What are the registration requirements?
- You must have been continuously registered under the Special Scheme for Self-Employed Workers (RETA) or with a mutual society as an alternative to the Special Scheme for Self-Employed Workers (RETA), without interruption, prior to 1 October 2020.
- The net income from your activity during the first three quarters of 2020 must not exceed €13,125.
- Assisting (collaborating) self-employed workers are not eligible to register.
- To apply for the benefit, you must hold a digital certificate or the idCAT Móvil. It would be advisable to register for IdCATMòbil beforehand.
Where do I submit the registration application?
Through the Generalitat de Catalunya website: https://web.gencat.cat/es/tramits/tramits-temes/22289-Inscripcio-previa-ajuts-manteniment-activitat-economica-autonoms-microempreses?category=
PLEASE NOTE: The order in which registration applications are received does not confer any priority. Applications may therefore be submitted at any point during the registration window.
The process for granting public subsidies is being simplified, with an exceptional procedure introduced for cases where two specific circumstances arise:
- the aid is of an extraordinary nature, required in response to emergency situations, and
- the potential number of beneficiaries is very high.
Under this procedure, simply registering on the relevant register will be sufficient to constitute a formal application for the aid, and the information provided by applicants will carry the weight of a statutory declaration.
