On 1 July 2010, the agreements for the integration of the firm 'Gonçalves & Associados, R.L.' as an associate member of ELEN (European Legal Network) in Porto, Portugal, were signed.
Those present at the signing included: José Conesa Ballestero, as President of ELEN, accompanied by Jordi Conesa Sagrera, economist and Executive Director of Bufete Conesa Asociados. Also in attendance were Valdemar Gonçalves, principal of the firm, lawyer Carlos Reis Gonçalves, lawyer Rosa María Teixeira Gonçalves, and lawyer Manuela Loureiro dos Santos, all professionals forming part of the practice.
Following the signing, discussions were held on the synergies that this integration could generate for all ELEN members. The firm is centrally located in Porto and well placed to handle legal matters arising anywhere across Portugal.
The formal integration into ELEN is due to be assessed at the next ELEN meeting, to be held in September at the Lyon office.
With this addition, ELEN is now present in the following cities: Turin and Milan, Lyon and Paris, Barcelona and Madrid, Porto and Buenos Aires.
