The Catalan Department of Labour (Departament de Treball) is proposing an extraordinary, one-off grant, a single payment of a fixed amount of €2,000.00 for self-employed workers registered under the Special Scheme for Self-Employed Workers (RETA) or equivalent self-employed scheme of Social Security who carry out their economic activity as a sole trader, with or without employees.
To be eligible for this grant, the following requirements must be met:
- The applicant must have their tax domicile in a municipality in Catalonia.
- The applicant must be registered with the Special Scheme for Self-Employed Workers (RETA), or with a professional mutual society as an alternative to the Special Scheme for Self-Employed Workers (RETA), on an uninterrupted basis, in accordance with the terms set out in the relevant calls for applications.
- The taxable base of the applicant's most recent personal income tax return must be equal to or less than €35,000 in the case of individual taxation, or the same amount in relation to the applicant's share of the taxable base in the case of joint taxation.
- The net income from the activity for the first three quarters of 2020 must not exceed €13,125.
Applications and any other steps associated with the grant award procedure and its justification must be submitted using the official standard forms and following the instructions available in the Procedures section of the Generalitat de Catalunya's electronic office.
