The Congress, held in Madrid on 17 and 18 June at the Auditorium of the European Commission Representation in Spain, was titled 'The European Future of Social Protection'.

Among the various speakers attending the Congress were representatives of the National Social Security Institute, representatives of the European Commission in Spain, and professors and academics specialising in labour law and Social Security from a range of universities.
