José Conesa

Employment lawyer

José Conesa Ballestero was first admitted to the Bar in 1967. Since then, he has dedicated his entire professional career to Employment Law and Social Security.
Through many rewarding chapters, the firm has grown to where it stands today — above all, thanks to the trust that so many clients have placed in us.
With the arrival of Josep Conesa Sagrera as a lawyer and Jordi Conesa Sagrera as an economist, we embarked some time ago on a period of transition that more than one commentator has held up as a model of its kind.
That transition is now complete, with the firm's founder, José Conesa Ballestero, being appointed Senior Counsel and President of the Firm. His outstanding career has recently been recognised by the Spanish Ministry of Justice, which awarded him the Cross of Saint Raymond of Peñafort — one of Spain's highest distinctions in the legal profession.
In his new role as President, he continues to serve as adviser and mentor to the firm's management and its members on matters of court practice, law, and professional conduct.
As part of this transition, Jordi Ligüerre Forés has decided to focus entirely on legal and litigation work, stepping back from his management responsibilities while remaining — as always — within the firm's structure and as the principal reference in that field.
Accordingly, since the beginning of 2013, Josep Conesa Sagrera and Jordi Conesa Sagrera have assumed full responsibility as the firm's managing partners and sole executive heads, with all other members of the team continuing in their respective roles, departments, and professional duties as before.
This new chapter brings with it fresh challenges and developments, all aimed at providing even better legal support and representation to our clients and friends — which is, and has always been, what we do.
José Conesa Ballestero remains available to all clients and friends to offer his counsel, assistance, and always personalised attention, while continuing his activities as a lecturer in both employment law and EU social law.
We are pleased to share the announcement of the award of the Cross of Saint Raymond of Peñafort.
We take this opportunity, as ever, to convey his warmest regards to all.
